Le 19th Janvier: not a very exciting day. I slept in... . duh. I figure I'm going to soak up as much sleep time as I can get before school starts. We had a walking tour of the La Villete area, but I just felt "toured" out. So I slept in again and stayed in my room for a good amount of the day. I can't think of much that I did, that just shows it was an uneventful day.
(Part 1)Le 20th Janvier. What a day! So I had my Stage Placement test this morning at 10 a.m. Okay lets get this straight, when it says that a test begins at a certain time, you would expect it to--not start 45 mins into the test-taking time. The French are retardedly slow. This placement test was supposed to be an hour and half long; therefore, I would be done at 11:30 am. That's perfect timing because I had to catch a train at Gare du Nord at 12:25 headed towards Amsterdam with Natalia. (Woo!) So this professor is talking to us about meaningless stuff about the test for 45 mins and I am literally gving him the rudest looks and practically shaking in my seat. Finally, he administers the test- 30 oral questions, 20 grammar, and 30 comprehension at 10:45. Didn't understand half of it (my ADD running wild and lack of interest comsuming me) and I left 15 questions answered with my favorite letter of the alphabet and bolted out of the test at 11:35. Hey, you cant blame me, I had more important things to do!
So I literally ran from my school, throughout the metro and into the main train station just in the nick of time. I got there 20 mins early so Natalia and I got food and relaxed. We boarded the train at exactly 12:25 and were off to paradise.
